Over 300 New, Unwrapped Toys Will Be Delivered as a Message of Hope to Less Fortunate Youth Throughout the San Diego Community
Delawie teamed up with San Diego U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for the 2016 Toys for Tots holiday toy drive, collecting hundreds of new, unwrapped toys from staff, clients and consultants from October through December. As a result, a grand total of 302 toys will be given to less fortunate children in the San Diego community this holiday season. The firm, with strong ties to both military and children’s causes, is honored to continue their annual partnership with the San Diego U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
“This is the time for giving, and Delawie happily opened their hearts this holiday season with overwhelming participation in the toy drive,” said Nathan Blair, an architect at Delawie.
Adding a twist to the toy drive, Delawie created a Toys for Tots internal toy collection competition, splitting the firm’s 55 staff members into teams led by each of the firm’s four principals. This year, Team Mike Asaro and Team Paul Schroeder tied for first place with a total of 85 unwrapped toys. Team Andrew Rodrigues came in a close second with 76 unwrapped toys.
