Delawie designed the expansion and renovation to CrossBorder Xpress, the only binational airport terminal in the United States. One of the last buildings designed by Ricardo Legorreta, our team was challenged to match the bold style of the revered architect. Included in this first phase of the project are interior renovations to the duty free and queuing areas as well as an additional restroom which expanded the building to meet the demands of this extremely popular facility.
Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is an exclusive pedestrian bridge for passengers from the Tijuana International Airport, allowing passengers to cross the border between Mexico and the United States. CBX serves millions of passengers that cross the border as part of their trip, helping them avoid unforeseen delays in the congested border crossings of San Ysidro and Otay Mesa.
