Situated at Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach, California, the aquatic facility and central campus upgrade project includes a single-story 10,000 square feet facility building and a 62-meter competition pool. Designed with a well-organized layout, the new plan integrates a connected concession building and restroom facilities, thoughtfully positioned on each side to serve both pool and campus activities. Complementary to these features, the Aquatics Center encompasses a meeting room, lockers, restrooms, concessions, storage and administrative offices.

This pool complex has woven into the community dynamic, fostering a partnership with the City for public use – providing opportunities in a coastal town whose beaches are often closed due to pollution.

Shade canopies, a plaza, lighting, LED marquee scoreboard, gates, and secure fencing complete the campus upgrade improvements. The transformation of the drill yard has yielded a secure space for the ROTC program’s activities while also remaining adaptable for other campus events.

The incorporation of rolling gates facilitates direct vehicle access from the service road to the pool deck. A new entry design for the ceramics building streamlines access to both the ceramics classroom and the existing educational space.

Our commitment underscores our ability to successfully execute a project within budget even amid the challenges posed by escalating labor and material costs.
