Delawie developed a creative solution to complement an existing tilt-up building and provide a new distinctive sculptural entry façade for the 16,100 SF addition. Site flood zone constraints required the new addition to be at a higher finished floor elevation. This provided the opportunity to create a terraced landscape and integrated ramp entry combined with outdoor amenities and minimize the visual impact of the change in elevation.

The design is tailored for the laboratory research and development tenant as well as allowing for adaptability for future lab expansion. Large mechanical units are relocated from the roof to screened utility yards allowing for ease of maintenance and upgrades, as well as increasing the area for future photovoltaics to support company sustainability goals.
