Villa Capri

Delawie is currently designing a new, ground-up, 40-key boutique hotel at the site of the existing Villa Capri, directly across from the Hotel Del Coronado. The project leans into the philosophy of Japanese minimalism while incorporating modern design touches and Southern California landscape aesthetics.

The hotel replaces the existing structure consisting of street frontage parking with a new covered porte cochère tucked into the building, blending the indoor and outdoor spaces into a seamless guest arrival experience. Throughout the reception and public spaces the outdoor experience is further drawn into the building by opening the main gathering area into an exterior outdoor space.
